SSAB Virsbolt 240, SSAB Virsbolt 240+ and SSAB Virsbolt 240 light

SSAB Virsbolt 240/240+/240 light are used for tunneling, construction and mining, especially when thicker material or higher strength is needed since the products have a load capacity of 240 kN. The bolts are delivered in wall thicknesses between 2.3 - 3 mm, and in bundles of 50 bolts.

Virsbolt 240+ is made of special steel and has gone through a precise annealing process to give the bolts excellent elongation characteristics whilst maintaining good load bearing capacity. This gives Virsbolt 240+ better capacity to follow rock deformation with squeezing ground or high strain concentration areas. Virsbolt 240+ could also be an alternative to Dynamic Rock Bolts, since the product can absorb energy better and be used in deeper levels in the mine.

Virsbolt 240 light is made of a steel with a higher strength. The load bearing capacity is the same 240 kN. The weight of the product is less since the thickness is 2.3 mm, which gives an improved sustainability performance. The products are available within the length range of 2.4 - 6.0 meters.
