European Graduate Program

We’re always seeking passionate graduates who are ready to lead the change in making the steel industry greener. If you have recently graduated from university and are looking for your first permanent job, this is an opportunity to grow rapidly while making a significant impact. The next program will be starting in September/October 2025 with the application period usually opening between January and March.

What we offer​
  • A 14-month kickstart to your development in an international company and environment
  • Permanent employment at SSAB after 6 months fixed-term contract with a market-relevant salary
  • Internal senior mentoring individually selected for you
  • Digital meetings with other participants to learn about different areas within SSAB
  • Planned physical visits to chosen SSAB sites, called Base Camp

Beyond the program activities, you will be placed in an actual position and introduced to the assignments and tasks related to your role from the very start.

Who are we looking for?​

  • Graduated within the last 24 months or soon to graduate with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Solid English skills
  • Good knowledge of the local language for the position you are applying for
  • Good communication and interaction skills
  • Good cultural awareness and willingness to work internationally
  • Flexibility and ability to handle rapidly changing conditions 
  • Ambition to drive development and improvement for both yourself and the company
  • Ability to see the big picture 
  • Excellent team player with a driven mindset
